Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50°

The 50th anniversary edition Aventador features a V12 engine worth 720 horsepower.
Somehow, it just wouldn’t be a Lamborghini party without an extravagantly priced, limited edition supercar.

Lamborghini rings in its 50th birthday with the unveiling of the 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversario. Of course, in true Lambo fashion, only 100 models of this special Aventador will be built.

It’s the kind of birthday where you buy the gift from the guest of honor. In this case, Lamborghini hasn’t announced the final price for the anniversary edition, but with the standard model starting at $393,695, it’s more than likely that would-be well-wishers will be forking over more than $400,000 to get their hands on it.

As its name suggests, the LP720-4 makes 720 horsepower with its 6.5-liter V12 engine, beating out the standard Aventador by a full 20 hp. The anniversary edition also gets redesigned front and rear fascias, including aerodynamic and ventilation improvements.

the bright yellow of the car is a tribute to the favorite color of Lamborghini customers, taking a special glittery shade that will only be offered on the special edition.
For those who can’t get their hands on the limited edition Aventador, Lamborghini offers a consolation. All 2013 Lamborghinis will include a glazed 50th anniversary emblem in their cabins.
