It's love at first bite. The legendary SRT® Viper is back with enough raw emotion and power that it will capture your soul.
The newly updated V-10 engine produces a heart-pumping 640 horsepower at 6,150 rpm and 600 pound-feet of torque at 4,950 rpm, the most of any naturally aspirated sports car in the world.
The venerable Tremec TR6060 close-ratio six-speed manual transmission is standard on both the SRT Viper and SRT Viper GTS with closer gear ratios for better response. Shift throws have been reduced by 12.5 percent to improve performance, and a final-drive gear ratio of 3.55 to 1 produces new levels of top-speed performance.
The 2013 SRT® Viper is leaner, meaner and powers through corners with the precision of, well, a snake. Viper keeps a near-perfect 50/50 weight balance front to back and features a new, lighter and stiffer space-frame structure.
Stability control is a first on Viper allowing full "on" or "off" of the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) systems. SRT Viper produces sledgehammer launches with new standard steering-wheel-mounted launch control. Maximum acceleration with the push of a button.
Performance coil springs, gas-charged, aluminum-body Bilstein® monotube dampers and tubular stabilizer bars front and rear complete the race-inspired suspension system.
SRT® Viper is equipped with an ultra high-performance braking system worthy of any track. Engineered using 14-inch (355 mm) vented rotors front and rear and industry-leading Brembo® four-piston calipers all around, SRT Viper delivers shorter stopping distances, better brake modulation, firmer pedal feel and less brake fade than other supercars.
The optional "Track Package" features StopTech two-piece rotors that reduce weight by one-third and feature a billet aluminum "AeroHat" design and curved vanes for improved cooling at high speeds.
